I love crafts and I love love love to sew. Particularly kids’ clothing. Particularly girl-kids clothing because we’re an all girl-child family. (My mini-commercial: Visit SewKiddoz.com to see some Kool Klothing for Kidz !) Ok, so anyway. I’ve mentioned a few times that I wanted to make some jewelry out of some of Wes’ old computer parts for fun , non-working parts of course. We’ve been super busy opening our shop and everything that goes along with a new business that I haven’t had too much time to think of anything else. Just the other day, Wes surprised me with a necklace!
And obviously, I just loved it! (I’m going to personalize it by printing our family pic and sticking it to the mock SD card.) Wes helped me find more small circuit board pieces and I made 3 necklaces to share with you! Two necklaces are 16″ long with 3″ extenders. The third necklace has a mock SD card, like mine! and is 21″ long with a 3″ extender. I used black suede cord for all three necklaces. For future geekery, we’ll have a variety of styles using the black suede and hemp. I’ll also make an attempt at some dangle earrings and bracelets… we’ll see how the necklaces do first.

We’re open and ready for business!!
Our grand opening was March 10, 2012 and a birthday to remember for the owner Wes Overton! He’s living the dream of having his own computer store. Wes considers it FUN to dissect a computer and see what its made of and how it works. As a family business, the kids can be a part of our lives and we can be a part of theirs.
